In the south of the island of La Palma are these salt flats, which have been declared a Site of Scientific Interest because they are frequented by many species of migratory birds. They are one of the most visited places on the island. Here, earth, water and air come together to create the Fuencaliente salt flats, a landscape of great value to man. The contrast between the white salt, the black volcanic soil and the blue sea creates a beautiful image. The range of colours of nature makes the salt flats a spectacle for the eyes that should not be missed.
