Unfortunately I have to correct my tip from last year a bit. In a report I read about "Mann und Frau" in the Reichswald Jagen 150. These trees, too, were a beech and an oak that grew into one another. Up until the 1930s, the two were a destination for the Klever family. The oak stole, however, and from 1932 they spoke of the "widow beech".
Unfortunately, love is not so romantic after all, because Jan and Griet will also suffer this fate. Peter Wohlleben described fate in his book "The Secret Life of Trees". The beech is grown up under the protection of the oak and after the beech has awakened it will deprive the oak of its vital basis, Celavie. Until then, I'll stay romantic and I'll keep an eye on both of them.

Whoever grows together just has to love oneself. A bit down the hill towards Grafwegen, just before the intersection on the right, is a tree with three trees, which I called the "triplets of Jan and Griet" years ago. Have fun finding.
