TRAY BRIDGE
The Tabake Bridge is located over the Erenik River in the south of the city of Gjakova. This bridge connects Gjakova with the villages in the south and Albanian towns such as Bajram Curri, Shkodra and Kukesi. The bridge was built in the 17th century by the Tabaka guilds. The Tabaku Bridge, with a length of 127 m and a width of 4.03 m, ranks among the ten largest bridges built during the Middle Ages in Albanian territory.
This bridge is built on 7 circular girders with a span of 14-16 meters. The bridge has been conserved and is used for playgrounds. It is built from carved stone and the ornaments carved on the stones are carved on the fronts of the bridge. There have been transformations during the wars, but after conservation, the original state has returned.
