The view of the Chaitén Volcano crater is one of the most impressive spots in Pumalín Park: from the rim, you can observe the fumaroles, the vast crater formed after the 2008 eruption, and the surrounding volcanic landscape. Access requires a challenging climb, but the final view is well worth the effort. Bring warm clothing and sturdy shoes, as it is often windy at the top and the ground can be slippery.
