The Tossal del Mortórum is an archaeological site made up of two distinct areas: the city and the burial mound.
The town of Mortórum is a settlement of small dimensions whose first occupations date back to the Bronze Age, the second millennium BC.
The city was determined by various buildings of residential character and for storage; The recovered objects testify to the existence of a significant commercial activity among the Phoenicians, considered as iron ore and lead, after the discovery of Phoenician amphorae and some metallic objects at the pier of Torre la Sal, located on the coast just outside Mortórum.
