The house and garden are privately occupied and cannot be visited. The surrounding park, the so-called Quintusbos, which is managed by Staatsbosbeheer, is accessible.
The country house is located on a moated site. Parts of the current building are said to date from the 16th century and were built on older foundations. In 1824 the estate came into the possession of C.H. Tjaden Jullens and his wife A.H. ten Berge. The house probably got its current appearance. Around that time, the park forest was also laid out with tree belts and a long driveway. This "Quintusbos" is named after the notary R.A. Quintus, to whom the property was bequeathed in 1881. According to plans by A.R. Wittop Koning was extensively renovated in 1934.

On the forecourt there are two former treasure houses in the form of hall house farms of the Gorechtse type. They may have been built around 1820. The former forester's house at the beginning of the driveway is a small farm of the same type and from the same period.
