The Elbe Cycle Route on the left bank of the Elbe is actually quite enjoyable, but this section is a real pain. Several tight bends with poor visibility noticeably reduce the riding pleasure, and every time I find myself thinking, "Who planned this so carelessly?"

I find this stretch less suitable because of the almost right-angled curves, which are difficult to see (in summer). If possible, I prefer to drive on the other side of the Elbe.

It is only a few kilometers from Meissen to Dresden. The Elbe meadows line the river and the cycle path on both sides like a green ribbon. Vineyard walls and terraces with small winegrowers' houses stretch right up to the gates of the Saxon state capital Dresden. And the Florence on the Elbe itself can also be wonderfully discovered along the Elbe.
