Russe is a young and lively city with magnificent buildings, parks, beach promenade and of course a lot of hotels and restaurants. The city only really awakens when the sun is not burning so hot anymore. After sunset everyone comes out and populate the city center, the parks and the numerous restaurants and cafes.
Many families with children, teenagers, students, retirees, everything is on its feet. I have a lot of time, I look at a lot and enjoy the atmosphere and plan in peace the next 2 days here in Russe.
In the region of Ruse there are the famous rock monasteries in Bassarbowo and Ivanovo, as well as an excavation site and a stalactite cave, which I really want to see. I go to a tourist information and learn there, that no bus tours are offered there. But the guy has a boyfriend who chauffeurs tourists in his private car when needed.
I learn that the tour to the above sites takes about 4-5 hours and the entire route is about 123 km long. All this for a total price for the equivalent of 45 €.
Since you can not complain and I book the tour for tomorrow.
