The most historically valuable work that Františkovy Lázně has to offer is located on the Isabellenpromenade. The original cast of the last masterpiece by the Munich sculptor Ludwig von Schwanthaler from 1853 was dedicated by Count Joachim Münch-Bellinghausen. The statue, which originally adorned the northern end of Kaiserstrasse (today's Národní třída), was removed in 1925 for political reasons. It was not until 1993 that the monument returned to its current location.

The statue shows the bareheaded emperor in the festive uniform of a field marshal with the Order of the Golden Fleece around his neck. A richly pleated coat is thrown over the shoulders and reaches down to the heels. His rights include a document with the inscription "Franzensbad / MDCCLXXXXIII.", which refers to the court decree of April 27, 1793, by virtue of which the construction of public and private buildings in the new spa town was approved. The date of issue of this decree is also considered the founding date of the health resort, which was named Emperor Franzensbad (Lázně císaře Františka) in honor of the emperor. At the feet of the ruler there is a tree stump with oak branches, which is supposed to symbolize the fall of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation and the emergence of the Austrian Empire - one event that took place under his rule.

The original inscription on the base read: “FRANCISCO. I. / AUSTR. IMP. / GRATUS CIVIS. / JOACH. COMES. / A MUNCH-BELINGHAUSEN. / POST OFFICE. MDCCCLIII." The new inscription on the base reads: "FRANCISCVS I." The inscription in the decree: "Franzensbad / MDCCLXXXXIII.". Signed on the right on the base: "L. v. SCHWANTHALER / inv. et mod. / F. v. MILLER fudit. / MUNICH 1853."
