In the course of 2015, the first community wind farm in the Haßberge district was built in the Sailershäuser Forest in the districts of the city of Haßfurt, the city of Königsberg and the municipality of Riedbach.

Project description

A total of 10 wind turbines were built on the ridge of the Sailershausen Forest.
The wind turbines are arranged in a row following the height gradient, with the distance from wind turbine to wind turbine being approx. 400 m and the distance from the first to the last wind turbine being approx. 3.6 km. The locations are located in the so-called reserved area “WK63” (formerly WK88 “west of Kleinmünster”) of the currently valid regional plan for the Main-Rhön planning region, to which the Ladnkreis Haßberg belongs.

Wind turbines: 10 x Nordex N117-2.4 MW, hub height 141 m

Electricity yield in 20 years: more than 1 billion kWh (more than 10% of electricity consumption
more than 30,000 t/year (corresponding to the CO² binding of approx. 3,000 hectares of forest)

Investment: approx. €45 million
