The narrow summit ridge of the Schießberg is about 400 meters high and runs from east to west. We are in the sandstone area, so there are no more rugged Jurassic cliffs and boulders anymore. The "summit plateau" drops to the north, west and a little less in the south 15 to 30 hm at an angle of 30 ° -45 °. Remains of earthen ramparts and neck trenches are barely visible in the terrain. The plant consists in my opinion of three segments (see picture); I think that the plant was expanded and recycled at different times ..
Striking is the top and probably oldest part 1, which includes the unusually about 20 m narrow and 200 m long "summit plateau". Here you can see around a kind of 3-5 m wide planed Behme, but no wall rest. Maybe here was "only" a palisade wall.
On the southern slope was later a small quarry operated, which here has destroyed the structure of the plant. Access to the resort appears to have been via the flatter eastern slope with the foreshore.
