Nice home-style restaurant. Particularly in summer, the beer garden (with self-service) is a fixed point of contact for hiking and cycling.
The house was first mentioned in a document in 1620 as a farrier with an outhouse. Nowadays it is known far beyond the country's borders as a garden and excursion restaurant. The last master blacksmith to shoe horses within these walls was August Hilbig. Since the turn of the century, the Dänkritzer Schmiede has only been an inn. In the 1930s, under the management of the then Zwickau palace company, the Dänkritzer blacksmith's shop increasingly developed into a destination for young and old. In existing advertising brochures from these times, Dänkritz and its blacksmith shop were spoken of as the quiet, clean village with its hard-working people Farmers and always hospitable people. As a gem, the Dänkritzer Schmiede existed largely as a restaurant for all sections of the population.
