A contemporary sculptor from Los Angeles, CA (US), currently living and working in New York City, known for his large-scale installations. Fruin most commonly uses steel and highly colored plexiglass to create monumental sculptures referencing local building structures. His drive is to make art that is publicly accessible, as well as sustainable by working with reclaimed materials and alternative energy. His largest installation series to date, the "Watertower", are installed at. multiple public spaces in New York City and around the US. His other works have been exhibited throughout the world in cities such as Prague (Czech Republic), Vienna (Austria), Copenhagen (Denmark) and in South Korea.
