The farmers in Furth are very sensitive about parking on the roadside... Beware! The Steinwand, which, like the Peilstein, forms the overthrust zone of the Göller and Unterberg nappes, is honestly a more beautiful, higher, and longer wall than the Peilstein, although the view from the surrounding mountains is somewhat obstructed. Nevertheless, it's a very beautiful rock face, overgrown with some very old pine trees. Incidentally, this is the Steinwand that gives the Steinwandklamm gorge its name.
