Cercul Militar is an officers' casino in Bucharest. The building is located at Piața Tricolorului, the intersection of two streets, Calea Victoriei and Bulevardul Regina Elisabeta. It was built in 1911 and designed by architects Dimitrie Maimarolu, Victor Ștefănescu and Ernest Doneaud. Previously, Cercul Militar Național was only allowed to be entered by the highest-ranking officers in the Romanian army. This regulation has been lifted so that residents and tourists can now also visit the building. Another special feature is the magnificent interior, which is partly lined with golden wall paneling and noble figures. The inner hall is only used on special occasions and celebrations, while the terrace area is freely accessible. There is also seating outside.
The entire building was built in the Neo-Renaissance style. In the outer courtyard there are two fountains and a staircase that leads to the higher plateau in front of the entrance. Source; Wikipedia
