Taman Budaya Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) is a private cultural park on the Bukit Peninsula (hills) in southern Bali. Bukit is a limestone plateau with Uluwatu to the west and Nusa Dua to the east. GWK is located on the site of a disused limestone quarry with remaining massive, symmetrically laid out tall limestone columns and large open spaces in between.
The park is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu and his mount Garuda, the mythical bird. Garuda is a national emblem and part of the coat of arms of Indonesia.
