The city lake jetty is currently being redesigned. The work is extensive and will certainly take some time. (as of 2/18/22)
From here you have beautiful views of the city lake and the historic town of Mölln. In the warm season you can rent boats here and make great tours on the lakes. The Ziegelsee, Stadtsee and Schulsee are connected to each other via canals and can therefore all be easily reached by boat. From the water side you get completely different impressions of the beautiful city of Mölln and the surrounding area - I can highly recommend it.
The city lake in Mölln's old town has a maximum depth of approx. 7 meters and very mixed soil conditions. It has its inflow from the Schulsee. Most of the banks are built up. It is home to pretty much all native fish species. Interesting features and land sites :
On the north-east shore of the lake is the pier for the local shipping line. On the east bank, accessible from the city center, there is a boat rental that offers pedal boats and rowing boats. The lake was historically once a lake together with the Ziegelsee. It was divided for the construction of the railway line.
