Pantai Watukarung is located on the south coast of Java and is approximately 25 km from the district capital Pacitan. The journey time is around 45 minutes. The long sandy beach is protected behind small, offshore rocky islands that rise impressively out of the water and weaken the surf. The high waves are ideal for surfing.
