The archways are located in a park that, along with a number of other buildings, forms more of an open air museum. Most of the park used to be garden of Chen Fang. The archways were built around 1890. There are these two, and a third located a short walk to the south.
You can also visit numerous houses and buildings that have different displays, such a collection of historic plaques, a display of archways from different parts of China, etc.
