Riding along the Binjiang Greenway (滨江绿道) this is a good vantage point onto Zhixi Bridge and the small sidearm of the Changjiang (=Yangtze) River that directs the ships to the locks.
Zhixi Bridge is actually two bridges, that connect from Yichang via Xiba in the middle of the river to the opposite side. The main bridge is a single span, two tower suspension bridge. The shorter, secondary bridge is cable-stayed bridge - and the one that can be seen from this highlight.
Construction started in 2012 and it was opened for traffic in July 2016.
