Star Fountain at Sternplatz
The fountain at Sternplatz is a figurative fountain erected in 1987. It was created as part of the redesign of Sternplatz.
The flat base is star-shaped. The central circular basin sculpture made of pink marble suggests the forms of water lilies. The surrounding points of the star are paved. Several bronze figures designed by Lothar Forster rise above the base: a nymph, a faun, and a group of tritons. To the side, on a stone block, stands a small water dispenser with a fish figure.
