From the foothill road between San Martino and the Carota refuge, at the foot of Mount Teverone, you can enjoy a suggestive panorama. The Fadalto saddle, Mount Faverghera, the Cansiglio plateau and clearly Lake Santa Croce are visible. From this perspective, it is evident how the imposing prehistoric landslide of Mount Millifret modified the course of the Piave river, diverting it towards Valbelluna. In the past, the river flowed into the Lapisina valley through the Fadalto, resulting in the creation of Lake Santa Croce.
