The Loch Ryan Coastal Path extends from Stranraer all the way up to Glenapp Church, 11 miles (18km) in total, along the southern and eastern edges of the loch.
The route follows the lochs beautiful coastline, providing panoramic views of the water and landscapes that surround it.
Along the path, you'll discover the ruins of a military port that was used in WW2. This specific area was chosen because of its deep water qualities that were required to dock the American troop ships.
