Today, Fort Wetherill has quite a bit of graffiti and is abandoned, but in its glory days, at the turn of the 20th century, it had guns and was used through several wars. Today the guns are gone and this area can be explored, and scuba diving is popular in the area as well. This area is a state park and has a few beaches right nearby.
