25.11.2018 - The Hanslkapelle on Viehdorfer Berg, formerly supposedly stood here in this place an old wooden cross as a defense magic against bad weather, a so-called Wetterkreuz, as it is also often to be found in the mountains. According to ancient beliefs, such a weather cross withheld hail, lightning and storm. When this cross came off, the inhabitants of Viehdorf built this chapel in 1912, which was renovated after the first signs of deterioration in 1999 by the siblings Gründling.

The Sacred Heart Chapel in Viehdorf, better known as the "Moar-Hansl Chapel", was built in 1912 by several families from Viehdorf on the former site of a weather cross to ask for spiritual protection from bad weather such as hail or storms. The historical picture shows the inauguration of the chapel in 1912. Initially built in an open form, the "Moar-Hansl Chapel" was given a closed prayer room with two rows of benches.
The chapel was last renovated in 1999, and in 2021 the municipality of St. Valentin built a panoramic map and new benches for day trippers, hikers or those seeking peace and quiet.
