A relatively easy path leads up to the highest point on the Rise Hill fell, which is Aye Gill Pike (556m). Lovely views back down to Dent (south), but particularly tremendous views of Baugh Fell to the north.

It is worth climbing up on the grass a bit to get to the cairn, between this summit and Dinsdale Pike, to get even better views of the area. It won't take you longer than a minute or two from here.

Aye Gill Pike is a summit in the Yorkshire Dales – Southern Fells region at a height of 556m. It offers great views of the surrounding Dales mountains, in particular the Howgills.

Nice little run out from the A684, two hours up and back, even though it was wet underfoot. Nice trig point, half decent views, and nearly blue skies. Not much more you can ask after a wet May week.
