In the 1920s and 1930s, in addition to the first hotels such as the Parador de Montemar or the Castillo del Inglés (Santa Clara Residence Hotel), some wealthy families chose Torremolinos as a second home. Thus, houses and buildings were built, some of them of unique architectural interest, such as that of the Navajas family next to Bajondillo or that of Huerta del Rincón in Carihuela - the latter is privately owned. The Casa de los Navajas is very close to Bajondillo beach and can be reached via the street of the same name or via Las Mercedes. Admission is free.

A neo-Mudejar style palace that stands out among the architecture of Torremolinos. Built in 1925, this unique building was owned by the Luque-Navajas family and was linked to the sugar cane trade on the land that is now part of Malaga's Pablo Ruiz Picasso Airport. At that time it was one of the most fertile industries, emerging because these lands were irrigated with the water coming from the springs of Torremolinos.
Antonio Navajas decided to build this small house on a cliff overlooking the Bajondillo beach. It was one of his big dreams, a house with a sea view and up to three generations of the Navajas family lived there.

An absolute highlight in the tourist hotspot of Torremolinos and admission is free. Built in 1925 by the Navajas family, who became rich through the sugar cane trade. The palace in neo-Mudéjar style with Mozarabic elements hosts weddings and other ceremonies, but also various exhibitions, concerts and theaters, which is why it has become a historic building.
