A subalpine lake sitting between the Mummy Mountain Range, with grassy meadows that have plenty of wildflowers during spring and summer. The hike to Lawn Lake goes through a dense mixed pine forest, with predominantly Lodgepole and Aspen Pines. at the beginning of the trail you will pass by some points where you can see the damage caused by the Lawn Lake flood. In 1903 a dam was built at this lake to help with crop irrigation in the Loveland area; in 1982 the dam failed and caused huge damage in the Estes Park area and led to the removal of three other man-made dams in the park area.
