Anyone who wants to climb La Tourelle must know that the mountain is privately owned. A permit should definitely be obtained before climbing. However, you will be more than compensated for the effort - the view is indescribable. If the security guard catches you without permission, you can be fined 50,000 rupees (1,000 euros).

Uniquely beautiful panoramic mountain. From here you can see from Tamarin Bay over the mountains further north to the Black River Mountains and Le Morne Brabant. The all-round view is spectacular.
But the ascent up here is tough. Steep and very hot if you don't start early in the morning.
