The MA-2141 is probably one of the most famous and breathtaking roads in Mallorca. For over 12 kilometers, it winds like a snake through 12 hairpin bends, descending 800 meters to the bay of Sa Calobra. The Italian engineer Antonio Paretti, who built the road in 1932, is said to have created the route as if by a thread falling from the mountains above. Not without pride, as one might expect. A very special highlight is the so-called "tie knot" (also called Nus de sa Corbata), created by a 270-degree curve.
