Gila Bend Museum & Visitor Center, and Indian Council' is open from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to the public. The museum is 1200 sq ft. in size and has more than 200 artifacts on display. The museum tells the history of the Great Bend, the Gila River, and the Papago people (known today as the Tohono O'odham). Visitors can learn about how mining and ranching communities moved in and the advancement of modern life in Gila Bend.
