In Lunca IIvei you are at the foot of the Rodnei Mountains. These eminences are part of the northeast face of the Carpathians. With its highest peak Pietrosul, which rises to 2,303 meters above sea level, the Rodnei Mountains are the highest and most difficult to access in the Eastern Carpathians.
From the village in good weather, you can distinguish three of the most important peaks: Neu, Ineuț and Roșu.
