Villamayor de Calatrava is a municipality located in the southwest of the province of Ciudad Real, at the foot of Cerro del Aguila.

They border the population to the north Cabezarados and Corral de Calatrava, to the south Almodovar del Campo and to the east Argamasilla de Calatrava and Caracuel.

Located in the Campo de Calatrava region and in the northern area of the Alcudia Valley.

Located in a wetland area, such as the Perabad lagoon. The Tirteafuera river runs through its territory, leaving two bridges in its bed, one from the 15th century with three eyes and another from the 16th century with ten eyes.
