Monte di San Genesio is one of the three hills which, together with Monte Regina and Monte Crocione, make up the so-called Colle di Brianza, south of Lecco.
The Colle di Brianza in general can also be considered an important ecological corridor between the Monte Barro Regional Park and that of Montevecchia and Valle del Curone.
From Monte di San Genesio you can enjoy a panoramic view of Brianza and its lakes, the Prealps and the city of Lecco. The summit can be reached starting for example from Mondonico di Olgiate Molgora or from Marconaga. In San Genesio there is also a small hermitage church. Immersed in the nature that still distinguishes Monte di Brianza we will pass through ancient villages and small rustic parish churches until we reach the Hermitage of San Genesio located on the peak of the same name between the Adda Valley and Alta Brianza. The history of the hermitage is very long and also intertwined with the events of the Sforza family.
