The Ruin Turmhölzle is the ruin of a spur castle on a 620 m above sea level spur-like foothills of the Hohe Möhr east of the Raitbach district of the city of Schopfheim. The remains of the keep and other remains of the wall are still preserved from the former small castle complex from the High Middle Ages. To date, no historical data are known about the castle complex. According to the type of masonry of the keep, it could have been built during the 12th century. The current name Turmhölzle came up later and does not represent the historical name. This is recorded in the goods directory from the 15th century of the St. Blasien monastery in Raitbach, where the name "Fernegg" for the castle area and thus can be found probably also for the castle. Another reference to the castle could be a list of goods from 1360, which speaks of a farm "under the harrow". The castle from the cloister at Lehen was probably given to ministerials and served to secure the monastic rulership.
