Polihua Trail is a 9.5-mile dirt route that runs high above sea level, leading down to the beach. The official starting point is where the Polihua Trail road forks at a unique spot called Keahiakawelo. Along the way, you will see huge boulders combined with red dirt, almost giving you a feeling that you are going for a run on the moon or Mars. The trail is primarily used for hiking and mountain biking, although it was built initially as an off-road 4x4 trail, and you may see some hardy 4x4s passing through.
