The only preserved relic of the defensive walls of the town of Banie. The Powder Tower was built in the 15th century. The then line of defensive walls had two gates and twenty towers. The city fortifications were destroyed already in 1478, and five years later, in 1483, the commander of the Hospitallers from nearby Swobnica ordered the walls to be dismantled. In 1766, it was decided to liquidate the rest of the fortifications. Only this one tower survived.
