The Volpera caves are made up of rock formations on which gym paths have been set up, equipped with ladders and metal cables. These caves also offer routes with recent anchorages and adventure routes that include zip lines. Furthermore, there are cracks which, at first glance, appear to be just spaces between collapsed boulders, but are actually real caves. The equipped routes also extend into these cavities, allowing crossings. One of the caves is called "Buso del Freddo," which is protected by a barrier. This cave was explored in 1997 and consists of a single shaft from which a current of cold air emanates, which extends for a few meters from the entrance.
Although these caves are not suitable for trail running, it is possible to explore the entrance to one and discover some of their beauty.
