The streets here are full of trucks, cars, motorcycles, scooters, donkeys, and carriages.

For anyone traveling here by car, I can only say that the noise and honking of the drivers' horns have a purpose.

The noise actually helps prevent accidents. With so many people driving and walking across the road, you have no chance of seeing everything around you. But if someone behind you honks, for example, when you're about to turn right, you're immediately overtaken by one of the many scooters on the right.

I've been overtaken by a public bus on the right in a bike path before. When you least expect it, you jump for a moment when a wall appears on the right just centimeters from your car, and then you realize that a public bus is overtaking you on the narrow bike path. If it had honked, I would have seen it sooner.
