Here you can find a new work (2023) by HELL'O "Ropsodie" + a mini statue by Isaac Cordal.
Hell'o: Plein de peps et de couleur, "Ropsodie" reference à l'artiste d'origine namurois Félicien Rops (1833-1898), à quelques pas de son musée. Jérôme Meynen and Antoine detail on the representation of the artist's names, showing the design of the chimérique and graphique, with detachment and légèreté. Comme Rops is a great fan of the botanicals, the composition is the aggregate of the vases and the plants. A squelette is transformed into a tour and plant and reference to the "Les épaves". The demi-lune au center de la composition rappelle l'endroit à Corbeil-Essonnes où l'artiste s'était installé. There are three characters that draw the women who travel through the life of Rops. The entrance to the bandeau sur les yeux en clin d'œil à "Pornocratès", son œuvre la plus emblématique.
Cordal: 45 miniature statues (of approximately 15 centimeters) are spread across the streets of Namur. The statues are located in various places in Namur, which you can find on the city map. The artist uses the Walloon capital and plays with its hidden places. You will find his works in extraordinary places: in an oeil de boeuf, on a ledge, in a bus shelter, in front of a window, on a manhole cover, on the sidewalk,...
The route was mapped out based on Images in the City/Namur.
His images represent civil servants and with his work the artist asks questions about consumer society, social inequality and the place of the little man in our contemporary society.
