This church in Palmanova - the "Chiesa del SANTISSIMO REDENTORE" - was not dedicated to one of the many people we venerate as blessed or saints and ask for their heavenly intercession with God; it was dedicated to the incarnate Son of God, Jesus Christ, the Redeemer and Savior. In Italian, people do not usually just use "San Salvatore / Redentore", as is common for saints, but the linguistic intensification to "Most Holy Redeemer" / "Santissimo Redentore" is used.

It is dedicated to the Most Holy Redeemer and Saints Mark and Giustina.
The first stone of the cathedral was laid twice: the first time in 1603, when funds for the construction were scarce due to the difficult relationship between Venice, the Church and the Patriarchate of Aquileia. So the first stone was laid for the second time in 1615, but this time too the construction took longer and the roof was finally completed in 1636, the year in which the church was consecrated.
