The Holy, Metropolitan and Patriarchal Cathedral Church of Santa María de la Sede y de la Asunción of Seville (better known as Seville Cathedral) is a Catholic temple in the Gothic style. UNESCO declared it in 1987, along with the Real Alcázar and the Archive of the Indies, a World Heritage Site and, on July 25, 2010, an Asset of Exceptional Universal Value. In 1988 the Guinness Book of Records certified that it was the cathedral with the largest surface area in the world.
According to tradition, construction began in 1401, although there is no documentary evidence of the beginning of work until 1433. The building was carried out on the site left after the demolition of the old Aljama mosque in Seville, whose minaret (the Giralda ) and patio (Patio de los Naranjos) are still preserved.

To visit Seville Cathedral, there are several entrances depending on the type of ticket you have.
Prince's Gate: For tickets purchased at the box office
Lizard's Gate: For admission with tickets purchased online
San Miguel Gate: For guided tours
The cathedral also has other important gates, such as the Concepción Gate, which connects to the Patio de los Naranjos.
