This trailhead leads up to the Pillsbury Mountain summit and the French Louis Trail leading to Pillsbury Lake. It should be accessible from the forest road leading up to it, but that road is often closed, so most park near the entrance of the road and start their hike from there.

Be aware that the roads leading up to this trailhead when open are backcountry roads and may require a vehicle with 4-wheel drive.
