If you go from there to the west, where once the well-known trail "Wolfsschlucht" led to Wittekindsburg, one reaches after about 600 meters, a cave with two openings.Here Porta sandstone was mined.Clear traces of craftsmanship can be seen, such as scraps that is, oblique lines, chiseled with the chisel, also lines similar to a herringbone pattern, then quadrangular depressions, which once bore beams.
The cave can easily be climbed over a rope and offers a pleasantly cool climate in summer.
