The Plaza de Virgin is located in the old center of Valencia. The highlight of this square is the Turia Fountain, of which the middle part of the fountain represents the Turia River. The eight surrounding women symbolize the Moorish irrigation works that brought prosperity and fertility to the city.

In the heart of the square, a sculpted fountain, the Fuente del Turía, cools down. It stands for the River Turía and the irrigation canals that supply the city with water. Together with the church and the cathedral, the fountain offers a lovely photo opportunity.
