Alsleben is located in the Lower Franconian part of Grabfeld, right on the border with Heldburger Land in Thuringia.

The Franconian Saale rises in Alsleben. Cycle paths and hiking trails lead past the Saale source. Anyone on the European long-distance hiking trail can visit the pilgrimage church of St. Ursula near Alsleben. The natural surroundings invite you to linger.

The small village has three churches:
The Kreuzkapelle, built around 1430, at the entrance to the village in the direction of Bad Königshofen, which only received its own bells a few years ago through donations from citizens.

The Ursulakapelle on a hill towards Thuringia. It was once a well-known place of pilgrimage. Saint Ursula is still venerated there by the people of Alsleben today, and not just on pilgrimages.
