Largest free-standing candle arch in the world
On December 15, 2012, the largest free-standing candle arch in the world was inaugurated in Johanngeorgenstadt for the 20th Original Johanngeorgenstädter Schwibbogen Festival. This giant is 25 m wide and 14.5 m high with candles and consists of 700 tons of reinforced concrete and 15 tons of stainless steel.
The new attraction, like the giant pyramid, was donated by the Johanngeorgenstadt entrepreneur Siegfried Ott.
