A hike to the Bülk Lighthouse is a wonderful way to experience the beauty of the Baltic Sea coast. The Bülk Lighthouse is located on the easternmost tip of the north side of the Kiel Fjord and is the oldest lighthouse on the Kiel Fjord.
The approximately 2 km long hiking trail from Strande to the lighthouse offers a continuous panoramic view of the Kiel Fjord and, at the lighthouse, even a 270° view of Kiel Bay. The route is beautiful in every season and offers numerous places to stop for refreshments

at the beginning and end of the hike.
During the hike, you can climb the lighthouse and enjoy the view.
The lighthouse is open year-round and offers a magnificent panoramic view.

The 25.6 m high lighthouse, built in 1865, was converted into a navigation light in 1970.
Until then, three lighthouse keepers worked there in shifts and lived there with their families.
It was last renovated in 2021 and painted green (previously black).
The lighthouse is open year-round. The entrance fee is approximately €2 for a magnificent panoramic view.

Lighthouse on the Bülker Huk that can be accessed all year round with a great view of the Baltic Sea and the Danish Wohld from a height of 25m. The lighthouse pavilion offers breakfast, ice cream, coffee & cake as well as cultural events.

The Bülker lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse on the Kiel Fjord. It serves as an orientation light for the approach to the fjord. The construction was started by Denmark in 1862, but could only be completed by Prussia in 1865 because of the German-Danish War. At that time the tower was white and had a red band. Until 1970, three lighthouse keepers worked and lived there. Since then it has been remotely controlled and monitored by the shipping traffic center. There is a picture gallery in the lighthouse. The tower is also popularly known as Hein Bülk.
At the foot of the lighthouse is the Lighthouse Pavilion, a very nice café with indoor and outdoor seating and opening hours: Tuesday to Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., weekends and public holidays 9 a.m. to 7 p.m

Hooray, the lighthouse is open to visitors again!
Starting December 6, 2024, the Bülk Lighthouse will be open to our guests and walkers again. Santa Claus must have helped out a bit. We are delighted that the closure is finally over after four and a half years.

Admission prices: Adults €2, Children €1

Since December 2024, after extensive renovations, the 25 m high sea mark has been reopened to visitors. Tickets (2.-€ adults, half price for children, as of December 2024) are available at the kiosk next door.
