If you want to save a few meters in altitude and don't want to or can't go through the canyon, you can always walk along the coast past countless (lonely) bathing bays. The path is partly exposed and partly rocky/bumpy. Sturdy shoes are recommended, but you can also walk with (sturdy) sandals. The route is also feasible and uncomplicated for children aged 6 and over. Surefootedness and minor climbing skills required. The advantage of the coastal path is definitely that you can cool off in the beautiful bays and arrive in Vela Luka relaxed.
