The Papensee has a size of approx. 6.8 ha. Its immediate “neighbors” are the Moddersee, the Kleine Lankesee and the Große Lankesee. It is nestled in nature. Beautiful! It is also designated as fishing waters.

The Papensee near Liebenberg in Brandenburg is an idyllic body of water surrounded by a beautiful landscape. The lake is a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers.

There are numerous hiking trails around the lake that lead through forests and meadows. Here you can enjoy nature to the fullest and escape from everyday life. The routes are not too demanding and are therefore well suited for families with children or for older people.

The Papensee is about 17 hectares in size and has a depth of up to 8 meters. Here you can swim or just enjoy the tranquility. The lake is surrounded by a beautiful landscape and offers numerous photo opportunities.

A real idyll with a very attractive, diverse forest environment. Large stands of spruce trees and strong individual specimens. You can't go around the Papensee, but there are at least two good places to swim, and not just at the northern end!
